What you get back when a parking booking is cancelled — and when you don't.
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Some spots set a window longer or shorter than 24 hours. The window that applies to your booking is the one shown at checkout and on your confirmation.
Every parking spot has a free cancellation window — a deadline, set by the host, measured backwards from the moment your booking starts. Unless the spot says otherwise, it is 24 hours.
It is a deadline, not a grace period. To be refunded, you must cancel before it passes:
The window is fixed when you book. If the host changes their policy afterwards, your booking keeps the window you agreed to — a later change can never make your booking less refundable than it was when you paid.
Your total at checkout is the price of the parking plus a service fee, shown as its own line before you pay. The fee covers running the platform and the cost of processing your card payment. If your card was issued outside the UK or EEA, an international card fee is shown as a further separate line.
When you cancel, the service fee and any international card fee are not refunded. Those costs are charged to us the moment you pay and are not returned to us when you cancel. So a refund for a cancellation you made comes to the price of the parking itself.
Worked example: parking of £20.00 plus a £1.50 service fee is £21.50 at checkout. Cancel in time and you are refunded £20.00.
A host or spot operator can cancel a booking — a bay becomes unusable, access is lost, the spot is withdrawn. This is not your doing, so the free cancellation window does not apply to you: you are refunded whenever it happens, including after the window has passed and after the booking was due to start.
Whether the service fee comes back as well is up to the operator. Some choose to refund the full amount they charged; others refund the parking and retain the service fee, exactly as with a cancellation you made. Either way you receive at least the price of the parking.
If a host cancels and you have not been refunded within a few working days, please contact us and we will chase it.
Go to Booking history, find the booking, and choose Cancel. Before you confirm, we tell you whether this cancellation will be refunded — so you always know which side of the deadline you are on.
Only bookings that have not yet finished can be cancelled. A booking that has already run its course is completed, not cancellable.
Refunds are issued immediately to the card you paid with, and typically take 5 to 10 working days to appear on your statement — that part is down to your bank, not us. We cannot refund to a different card or to another payment method.
Occasionally a refund fails to go through automatically. If that happens your booking is still cancelled, and we will tell you so on screen. Please contact us and we will process it by hand.
If you think a refund has been calculated wrongly, or something about a cancellation does not look right, tell us and we will look into it. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
